Experience Wellington is a registered charity established by Wellington City Council as a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) to manage and develop its cultural and arts visitor experiences. We run six extraordinary visitor experiences: Capital E, Space Place at Carter Observatory, City Gallery Wellington, Nairn Street Cottage, Wellington Museum and the Cable Car Museum. We also support the operation of the New Zealand Cricket Museum and Hannah Playhouse.
Experience Wellington is looking to appoint a Human Resources professional as maternity cover for our Manager People and Capability. This is a fixed-term part-time role reporting to the Chief Executive and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
The purpose of the role is to lead the Human Resource function within Experience Wellington. The role is pivotal to our commitment to the continuous improvement of our organisation effectiveness and our goal to be an employer of choice, demonstrating whanaungatanga, and prioritising staff wellbeing and a safe and healthy workplace.
Key skills and experience:
Professional, up to date Human Resources knowledge and able to provide sound advice and guidance.
Experience in developing and implementing organisation development strategies.
Outgoing, able to build good working relationships, to mentor and to coach.
A team player.
Experience using iPayroll and able to provide support for the processing of payroll.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
