City Gallery Wellington is looking for someone to tell the world about our exhibitions, events, education programmes and other activities.
Using your experience in a marketing and/or communications role, you will lead a cohesive and responsive marketing, communications and design team, bringing a strategic focus to all elements of the team’s work and leading the hands-on marketing and communications to increase Gallery audiences and raise the profile of City Gallery Wellington.
You are right for this role if you have a proven track record working in a fast-paced team environment across the full range of communications channels. Creatively seeking opportunities to tell our story is something that you will thrive on.
The ability to proactively engage and build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is important as is experience in managing multiple and competing priorities with definite deadlines.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, an outgoing personality, drive, energy and flexibility along with well developed networks that will support your role. We will welcome your innovative ideas, proactive approach, and your positive response to challenges.
You will work closely with the Gallery Director, Operations and Development Managers to develop and deliver sponsorship strategies, sponsorship and funding proposals, new Gallery memberships and coordinating City Gallery Wellington sponsor events.
Your experience in marketing and communications will be enhanced by an interest in contemporary New Zealand art and a strong understanding of the arts sector in New Zealand.
