Massey Business School (MBS) is one of New Zealand’s leading and largest business schools, ranked in the top 2% business schools globally.
In line with its strategic priority to implement the Māori Learner Success programme to enhance participation and completion rates of Māori students in our programmes, MBS is seeking to appoint an experienced Māori Student Support Advisor to be based at our Albany Campus.
In this position, you will report to the MBS Associate Dean Māori. You will be supporting Māori students enrolled in undergraduate MBS courses to ensure their participation and academic success. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a wider team, working closely with the Colleges schools and with other directorates and units within Massey University.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· an undergraduate qualification from a recognised tertiary institution
· capacity to understand tikanga and kawa of various iwi hapū
· proven experience in working with Māori learners.
You are preferably competent in Te Reo and tikanga Māori, and have experience in supporting students at the undergraduate level in a University setting.
This is a part-time position, comprising 18.75 hours per week. How you spread those hours over a week can be negotiated with your manager.
