Te Āhuru Mōwai delivers ‘whānau focused’ social housing in the Porirua/Tawa area.  Established by Ngāti Toa, Te Āhuru Mōwai is a world-class community housing provider, with the objective of providing warm and safe public housing and services to over 950 tenant whānau. Te Āhuru Mōwai play a part in achieving positive social and community development outcomes for people, whānau and the wider communities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, talented and hardworking person to join our team.

Kaitohutohu Tiaki Whare | Property Maintenance Coordinator

You will help oversee all the maintenance orders for our housing and ensure maintenance jobs are completed by the contractors and our own quality standards.  You will be a champion for Health and Safety, continuous improvement, and better outcomes for our whānau and community.

You will likely be:

  • Experienced in residential or commercial property management and maintenance or willing to learn

  • Experience in condition inspections and contributing to maintenance planning

  • Knowledge of managing suppliers to deliver contracted KPIs

  • Familiar with the RTA, Building Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, and other related regulations.

  • Preferably holds or is working toward a trade qualification or similar or can demonstrate experience in the field

  • Computer literate, particularly MS Excel and ability to learn new computer systems quickly

  • A team player
