Job Description

Our Performance and Value function understands and communicates the key drivers of current business performance to wider leadership teams, conducts annual forecasting and regular reforecasting during the year, and provides financial modelling and analysis to support decision making.

We’re looking for a Kaitātari- Whakamahere, Tutukinga Planning and Performance Analyst to join our team for a 12-month fixed term contract, with a key focus of delivering business planning, forecasting and insights across Z.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Deliver high quality business planning and forecasting including annual forecasting, 5-year planning and in-year forecasting

  • Provide clear insights to our financial performance and execution of our strategic objectives with data and critical thinking

  • Deliver monthly reporting/forecasting information across our P&L and capital spend for our ZLT performance paper, monthly business review (MBR) reporting, and other channels

  • Update our Planning system (EPM) with budget and forecast data and maintain a spreadsheet ‘planning model’ to reflect our latest view of P&L, capital spend and balance sheet

  • Build strong working relationships within the Performance and Value team, across Finance and Corporate and deliver financial and forecasting data to Finance, Treasury and Ampol Group Finance teams

  • Provide other planning and performance management tasks as required, including providing support to our Technology, Data and Digital teams

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and a solid grounding of general financial knowledge

  • A passion for solving problems and using analysis to support commercial and strategic decision making

  • Great people skills to allow you to work across the organisation with multiple stakeholders

  • The tenacity to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances

  • Sound commercial acumen

  • Excellent Excel skills

  • Excellent communication skills to explain analysis and provide recommendations

The base salary range for this role is $92,900 to $109,300 per annum, we also offer a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
