Reporting to the Board you will be a warm, highly motivated and skilled manager with a social services background ready to lead the day-to-day delivery of our services supporting wāhine and tamariki affected by domestic and family violence.
At Te Roopu Whakaruruhau o Ngā Wāhine Māori (TRW) we believe that wāhine Māori and tamariki have the right to live their lives free from physical, emotional, mental, sexual, financial and spiritual violence and we provide a refuge service and abuse and violence support in a kaupapa Māori environment.
Key responsibilities include:
· Managing the day-to-day business of the organisation, including strategy, finance and audit, human resources, health and safety, and IT etc
· Overseeing a high-quality front-line service for victims of domestic/ family violence
· Delivering a premium service to those at the highest risk
· Developing, and maintaining multi-agency links through procedures and protocols to ensure safety is central to all services for victims of family violence
· Contributing leadership to local and National family violence strategies.
· Ensure that TRW is meeting contractual and legal responsibilities.
About you:
You will have previous experience in a similar Level 4 social work role within social services (and be either registered or registerable), working with at risk clients including wāhine and tamariki. Your cultural lens will align with te ao Māori, and you will understand or already be on a learning journey with te reo Māori. You will bring a collaborative approach, excellent people management skills, a passion for our kaupapa, an understanding of the not-for-profit sector, and a desire to exceed the expectations of stakeholders, including affiliations, contractors and clients.
