About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant at Te Puna Wai Kātea, you will be working closely with our registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation to our patients. You will assist with activities of daily living and rehabilitation programmes.

As well as providing care and rehabilitation to our patients, you are required to carry out some house-keeping tasks to ensure our Unit is not only clean and tidy, but safe for our patients to mobilise around.

About you

Successful candidates must have:

  • Well established mental state and risk assessment skills

  • Recent Hospital Healthcare experience, ideally in mental health

  • Level 3 qualification

  • Team focused 

  • Adaptability and flexibility

  • Motivation and commitment to self-directed learning

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
