Super Yacht Chef / Stew - Auckland

Cruise New Zealand is seeking to employ a full-time Chef / Stew to join our team aboard the Auckland-based luxury Super Catamaran Rua Moana.

Operating mainly day cruises in and around Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf along with occasional overnight and away charters, we get to meet and cater for an amazing clientele. The starting date is flexible, however if the successful applicant was to join before mid-June, they will have the opportunity to work alongside our current experienced chef of 4 years.

The perfect candidate for this role will tick these boxes:

- Previous experience as a Chef and or Stew.
- Have an eye for detail and be personable and well presented
- Have a passion for providing exceptional healthy meals using a variety of ingredients
- Be happy to help in all areas of the vessel, mainly galley and guest service along with deck and vessel re-detailing
- Previous experience maintaining a Food Safety Plan
- Not be susceptible to motion sickness
- Experience in menu planning and provisioning for both guests and crew.
- Enjoy hosting fantastic clients and working alongside a fun team

Suitable for a competent chef or stew/cook wanting to take the next step in their career and work on a busy high end charter vessel that is Auckland based.  Proven longevity in an existing crew, full time roles in NZ don’t come up like this very often. Remuneration by way of a salary and bonus package.

Please note this is not a live aboard role, the vessel has a permanent berth in the Viaduct Harbour, Auckland New Zealand and operates with 4-5 crew. Must be a New Zealand resident or have rights to work here.
