About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
This role is a permanent, full-time position, based in Wellington.
Reporting to the Manager, Processing, you'll provide high-quality administrative and processing support across a diverse portfolio of scholarships, awards, grants and funds. Your work will help ensure applications, payments and enquiries are delivered accurately and efficiently, enabling key education workforce initiatives, that support the supply and professional development of the education sector workforce, to be delivered successfully.

This is a varied role that combines administration, stakeholder engagement and event coordination.
Salary range: $61,879 - $73,999 per annum plus KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, customer-focused and enjoys working with a wide range of people.

Experience providing administrative support within a complex organisation
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

Experience coordinating meetings, travel, events or workshops
Strong digital skills and confidence using online systems and administrative tools

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake
Our group leads the sector workforce employment relations, the relationship with Education Payroll Limited and we hold the responsibility for bargaining. We support the organisation so that the key role of the education sector workforce is integrated into their work programmes and services.
We advance the education workforce strategy, including a focus on specialist services, employment relations, pay equity, education payroll, supply and scholarship functions. Our group ensures the system has the right people in the right places at the right time for early learning, kōhanga reo, schools and kura. We have links to tertiary education organisations, in particular wānanga, iwi and Māori, peak bodies and others, in the co-design of solutions to workforce challenges, such as provision of teachers with te reo and mātauranga Māori knowledge and Pacific languages.
The Processing team administer a range other initiatives that are focused on lifting the number, diversity and calibre of the education workforce, using workforce data to tailor existing incentives, or to establish and shape the direction of new projects and initiatives.
