The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Are you a night owl?

We are looking for casual cover for our Awake overnight shifts. (11pm – 7.30am). Come and work in one of our warm, homelike environments where you’ll have access to free Wi-Fi, an evening meal, and the opportunity to study towards a Level 4 qualification.

Our casual role covers leave for permanent Support Workers, providing a diverse range of experiences across our mental health support services. Join us today and broaden your skillset!

The Team

You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Wellington team who all have the common purpose to support people experiencing mental health challenges.

About You | Mōu

You’ll have a caring nature and the ability to work with people from a person-centred approach. You’ll always work in a recovery-focused way and have impeccable attention to detail.  

You will also need to have:

  • A current full driver’s licence

  • A current first aid certificate, or are you willing to obtain one

  • A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent. This is not essential as there are options to enrol to learn.

  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti Waitangi.

  • Flexibility and available for varying shifts

  • There is also capacity for guaranteed shifts across the week for fixed periods of time.

  • Casual employees can work across a range of services in three different areas of Wellington (Miramar/Brooklyn/Central Wellington, Tawa/Porirua/Titahi Bay and Kapiti).
