We are seeking a talented leader for our Historians team—an influential group of specialists who play a critical role in the progress and completion of Treaty settlements.

The role sits at the intersection of the Treaty of Waitangi, people leadership, history, relationships and public service – making it highly meaningful work, with inter-generational importance.

As a Kairuruku, you will hold a crucial position within our Mental Health team, collaborating closely with the Intervention and Support Practice team.

In this role you'll bring your excellent storytelling and digital communications experience to help create clear, compelling stories and products for Te Tari Whakatau, working closely with teams across Te Tari Whakatau and the Ministry of Justice.

This two-year fixed term role based in Dunedin, is a sign of the commitment between Te Papa Atawhai and Kā Rūnaka ki Ōtākou to enhance the engagement of whānau, hapū and iwi to deliver on our conservation goals and to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
