Starting salary: $83,195 - $97,876 + superannuation

The role | Te tūnga 

This is a permanent role based in Ōtautahi (Christchurch). As a Design Analyst in Statistical Infrastructure, you'll use your technical expertise to develop statistical software systems across a range of tools, processes, and platforms. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in coding languages and frameworks, and proven experience working across diverse systems and data domains. By focusing on customer needs and building strong relationships, you'll help us deliver high-quality, effective solutions and services.

This role would suit someone who has: 

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and analytical tools, such as Pentaho, Python, R, SQL, SAS, and Power BI 

  • Knowledge of version control and deployment using GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Git runners 

  • Experience with unit testing, test frameworks, and behaviour-driven development (BDD) testing 

  • Hands-on experience with data transformation using EPIC and MEP platforms 

  • Experience in building generic solutions that support multiple use cases and are designed for extensibility 

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) for work management and delivery tracking 

  • A demonstrated understanding of mātauranga Māori, use of te reo Māori, awareness of tikanga, and a commitment to applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in a professional setting.
