About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga 

Full time, fixed term opportunity through to 31 July 2026.


The Finance Analyst plays a key role by supporting the Capital Investments team by providing accurate, timely, and reliable financial information to support the delivery of the School Property Capital Programme.  


Working closely with Finance Managers, Project Accountants, and system specialists, you will help ensure strong financial controls across capital projects, including work in progress, capitalsiation and asset accounting. This role provides an independent financial lens to support sound decision making across a large and complex capital portfolio. 


Salary range: $85,225 - $103,071 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake 
You will have a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a similar business discipline and experience in an asset/capital intensive organisation, ideally in the construction industry. 


You will also bring:  
• Experience working with financial systems and multiple data sources 
• Strong analytical skills, including advances Excel capability 
• Knowledge of project, asset, and capital expenditure accounting 
• Clear written and verbal communication skills 
• The ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities. 
• The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The Capital Investments Team is part of Finance in Te Pou Rangatōpū|Corporate. We are responsible for partnering with the Property Delivery team to provide sound financial advise to enable them to operate effectively and fulfil the financial, statutory and reporting obligations of Te Tāhuhu.
