Pou Whirinaki – Services to Māori team is a specialist team at Community Law Wellington and Hutt Valley (CLWHV) providing services primarily to Māori clients. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for Legal Education in the Wellington and Hutt Valley communities. You will be tasked with the facilitation and delivery of legal education session. As a legal educator, you will work alongside Māori community groups, marae, kura and other organisations to deliver relevant education sessions. You will also be expected to provide advocacy services to Māori clients when dealing with the likes of govt departments and other service providers. The succcessful candidate will have a strong understanding of tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
