He angitūtanga: About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Kaitātari Matua /Senior Analyst reporting to the Manager, Relationship Support - Data, Operational Delivery Investment. This is a great opportunity for someone who learns quickly, enjoys working in a collaborative environment and can multitask. Your role will involve:

  • Responding to operational data queries from internal and external stakeholders, including Ministerial and Official Information Act correspondence.

  • Build strong networks and collaborate across the business to deliver effective advice and analytical solutions.

  • Drawing on your analytical skills to translate data into accessible Plain English.

  • Using your judgment and analytical skills to identify when something does not look quite right and may need more investigation.

 

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

This in-demand, fast paced team of analysts, tackle a wide range of reports and data requests and excel at getting the job done. Our team analyses, summarises and packages data from a variety of diverse sources to provide our colleagues and stakeholders with the data and analysis they need to succeed.

You will bring the following:

  • Three to five years' experience as a Senior Data Analyst role working with operational data.

  • An inquisitive mind set and passion for customer engagement.

  • Your advanced excel skills and proficiency in using the Microsoft suite of tools is essential and experience with SQL is preferred.

  • Must possess the capability to quickly learn and adapt to new reporting tools.

  • Proficiency in handling large data sets and integrating multiple data sources.

  • An ability to work in a high pressured, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with tertiary education data would be advantageous.

The salary range for this position starts from $93,000 up to $109,000 gross per annum (prorated) depending on demonstrable skills and experience. This role is for a fixed term only to April 2026.
