About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga 

The Manager, Information Management leads our enterprise information management, data governance, information sharing and ethics capability to enable education data to be managed as an asset and shared appropriately. 

Salary range: $121,139 - $181,709 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake 

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have proven experience leading and delivering data and information governance, and information sharing in a large organisation. You will also be an excellent people leader that can manage completing priorities and handle expectations from different people 

You will also offer: 

  • Experience building and leading inclusive and diverse teams and creating a respectful, open and responsive culture.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage cross government agency relationships and internal relationships nationally to support information sharing.

  • Experience in building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes, particularly with colleagues, stakeholders, Māori and iwi, Ministers.

  • Experience in leading organisational change that delivers intended outcomes.

  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct

In this role, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team of specialists in information management, information sharing, and ethics. Your team plays a key role in helping the Ministry deliver on a key priority for the greater use of data.

 

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake 

The Data and Insights group within Te Pae Aronui | Integration & Operations is a centralised point through which information from the sector, communities and takiwā flows into Te Mahau and Te Tāhuhu. We are responsible for leading the collection, storage, analysis and communication of evidence-based insights and information. 

The Information Management team within Data & Insights is responsible for information sharing and information management policies and practices that allow trusted information and insights to be well-managed, used and shared in a productive, lawful and ethical way across the Ministry, externally and with sector partners.
