Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Mata Ahupae Hāpai Tāngata - Organisational Development (OD) Administrator within Te Pūmanawa Tāngata - Human Resources on a permanent, full-time basis.
The role of the Mata Ahupae Hāpai Tāngata - Organisational Development Administrator is to keep our learning and development (L&D) and engagement programme humming. You'll run the logistics for workshops and e-learning, coordinate cross-functional OD initiatives, maintain accurate records and reporting, and help us embed kaupapa Māori and co-design practices across our mahi. When needed, you'll co-host induction or intro sessions and support communications that drive participation and impact.
The initial appointment range for this role is $58,032 to $64,700 per annum.
Key responsibilities include the following:
End-to-end workshop and event coordination
Support curation of online learning resources
Maintain training records, databases, and simple reports
Coordinate OD comms and promotional content
Gather and track participant feedback for improvements
Engage with stakeholders and service providers confidently
Provide general admin support for the team
Help integrate kaupapa Māori and co-design into OD delivery

You will:
bring sharp admin and coordination skills, thrive in a busy team, and juggle competing priorities, without dropping the ball
be detail driven, excel-capable, and confident producing tidy, accurate documents
demonstrate cultural humility, comfort with te reo Māori, and commitment to Te Tiriti-aligned, inclusive practice. Experience in L&D and/or tertiary sector is a plus
