Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
In this role, you will provide professional administrative services to the Pou Whakarae (Upoko Ngāi Tūāhuriri) as well as providing pro-active, high quality, professional and efficient administration, coordination and support to the Office of Treaty Partnership and the wider offices of UC Māori and the Ngāi Tahu Research Centre (NTRC). You will actively participate and uphold the objectives of the Ngāi Tahu / University of Canterbury (UC) partnership agreement. This varied role will also see you scheduling travel arrangements, booking, and scheduling for staff, student and distinguished guests and often being the first point of contact for the offices.

Mōu | Who You Are
You are well organised with an eye for detail, have strong prioritization and time management skills and can work calmly given tight time frames and changing scenarios. You have strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment. Experience in administration, planning and event management is preferred, as well as experience working in or with an iwi/hapu organisation.

You have an interest in Te Ao Māori, supporting tribal development, and have an appreciation of bi-cultural issues and the Treaty of Waitangi.

The role of Office of Treaty Partnership, Kā Waimaero | UC Māori and the Ngāi Tahu Research Centre is to work with the wider University to deliver outcomes for Māori students, support staff capability building and undertake impactful research to the benefit of Māori and wider Aotearoa.
