About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga

This full time role is fixed term through to September 2026, and is based in Wellington. 

As part of a small Enterprise Portfolio Office team, this role provides an opportunity to use your excellent project and programme management skills to support the organisations frameworks to underpin consistent delivery success. 

 Key areas of focus will include:

  • Working with key stakeholders to utilise the Ministry’s frameworks, ensuring a common approach is adopted and tailored where necessary

  • Provide decision support, advising on the use of appropriate methodologies and tools

  • Support for the tracking and realisation of benefits by the organisation, including input to reporting

  • Building quality and effective relationships with stakeholders to enable prompt identification and resolution of challenges. 

Salary range: $119,171 - $144,560 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • A pragmatic and flexible approach

  • Experience of achieving successful outcomes in a complex environment

  • A track record of bringing people together and leading, coaching and mentoring others to achieve outcomes.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Senior-level experience with P3M frameworks and processes, and investment management good practice.

  • Relevant specialist tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent level of practical experience is required

  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The Enterprise Portfolio Office team is a small team looking to make a significant impact in lifting maturity to support project and programme success.  We work with a range of teams to provide advice  and standards, with the intent of becoming trusted partners.
