About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga 

The Senior Analyst leads collection analysis and reporting of national and international studies such as PISA PIRLS, TIMSS, TALIS and Curriculum Insights and Progress Study.

The job is a combination of project management, people leadership, and analysis and report writing to create new evidence about New Zealand’s educational performance. The Senior Analyst understands the development and data collection processes used in Large-Scale Assessments and is able to lead and support others in operating these projects. 

You will:

• Lead a large and impactful international study
• Communicate results on the health of the New Zealand education system
• Influence policy development in education.

Salary range: $100,296 - $110,893 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake 

You will ideally have experience in large scale national or international research.  You will be well organised and able to lead and support others to deliver work to a high standard and on time. 

You will also offer:

  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in research, project management or analytical related discipline.

  • The ability to collaborate with a wide range of people from colleagues to stakeholders internal and external.

  • A track record of quantitatve analysis and report writing for non-technical audiences.

  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

 

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake 

The Educational Measurement and Assessment team sits with the Ministry’s Data and Insights group.  The group manages all aspects of data from collection and stewardship to analysis, modelling and dissemination.
