The TEC Content team is part of the newly formed Products and Channels Group. We achieve TEC's priorities through meaningful and effective engagement with target audiences including learners, job seekers and tertiary organisations.

We're seeking a talented Senior Content Developer to join our collaborative and supportive team. You'll love web content in all its forms, know how to make a strategic vision come to life, and be a pro at working with others to solve challenging problems.

This is a fixed-term role for 18-months.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

As a Senior Content Developer, you will be:

  • Updating and maintaining content across our websites, researching and gathering information as needed

  • Using your archiving, record-keeping and redirecting skills to help smoothly decommission a website

  • Resolving user and stakeholder queries

  • Analysing user data and research to inform strategies for content maintenance and archiving

  • Monitoring web performance using analytics tools and presenting insights to stakeholders to assist in decision-making

  • Liaising with web developers to resolve technical issues

  • Doing day-to-day management of some of our websites, products and other digital deliverables as required

  • Building strong connections across the organisation, and maximising opportunities for collaborating and knowledge-sharing.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

  • Highly developed technical skills across a range of digital tools (multiple CMSs, Google Analytics4, Hotjar, JIRA etc)

  • Knowledge of digital best practice, user design principles and NZ Government Web Standards, and experience in implementing them

  • Excellent written communication skills to craft clear, concise content for our audiences, while complying with our style guide and tone of voice

  • The ability to lead or work on projects in an Agile environment, with tight timeframes and budgets

  • Highly developed relationship management skills that enable you to work effectively with a wide range of people, internally and externally

  • The ability to support, mentor and encourage team members to achieve collective goals.

The salary range for this position starts from $77,744 up to $91,463 depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
