About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
Wellington based, 6-month Fixed Term, full-time hours
We have a newly created 6-month Senior Health and Wellbeing Advisor position. This role’s primary focus will be to scope a Strategic Wellbeing Framework for the Ministry.
The People Safety and Wellbeing Team are undertaking enhancements to the health and safety system to strength capability and culture at all levels of the Ministry. As the Senior Advisor you will scope a Strategic Wellbeing Framework to support informed decisions regarding the selection of wellbeing offerings for our people. This will enable evidence informed, proactive investment in staff wellbeing, while understanding alignment and impact on our broader workforce and Ministry strategic drivers.
Salary range: $101,296 - $122,490 per annum pro-rated, plus KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake
As a skilled Health & Wellbeing professional you will be comfortable working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, and quick to develop effective relationships at all levels across an organisation.
Along with scoping a Strategic Wellbeing Framework you will also be involved with ‘business-as-usual’ Health, Safety and Wellbeing tasks, particularly focused on Wellbeing, sharing your specialist knowledge with our Ministry kaimahi.
To succeed in this role you will bring:
A strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and of good practice in safety and wellbeing
Proven negotiating and influencing skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrated ability utilising data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities
The ability to coach and mentor staff and senior managers
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent career experience
The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
