Do you enjoy working across business units to deliver quality work? We're looking for a skilled and strategic Senior Management Accountant to join our, Financial and Business Performance Group. This is a key role providing high-quality financial advice, reporting, and analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.
He angitūtanga: What will you be doing?
You'll lead the preparation of operating budgets and forecasts, deliver insightful monthly reporting, and support strategic and business planning. You'll also play a vital role in project accounting, financial training, and stakeholder engagement.
Prepare, analyze and deliver annual operating budgets and forecasts.
Provide financial insights to support strategic and business planning.
Lead month-end processing and variance analysis.
Deliver financial reports to Board-level standard.
Provide financial training and support to managers and internal customers.
Evaluate financial requirements for new projects and support business case development.
Provide financial advice and reporting on operating and capital projects.

We're seeking someone who is not only technically strong but also a great communicator and collaborator. You'll be confident working with a range of internal stakeholders, including non-financial managers, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You'll be comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity and enjoy contributing to continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
A relevant tertiary qualification and Chartered Accountant status (CAANZ or equivalent).
Proven experience preparing operating and capital budgets.
Strong knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act.
Strong project accounting experience across capital and operational budgets.
Excellent relationship-building skills, especially with non-accountants.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, SUMIF, lookups).
Experience with mid-size financial systems (TechnologyOne preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisation and time management.

Recruitment salary is from $100k + dependant on the skills & experience you bring, plus 3% Kiwisaver employer contributions.
