About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga 

The Senior Resourcing Advisor provides statistical, modelling, forecasting, analytical, reporting, and advisory and leadership services at a senior level, to support the role of the Manager School Resourcing Payments 

The Senior Resourcing Advisor will provide a leadership role through the development and implementation of policy and operational policy and provide quality advice on resourcing for schools. 

The Senior Resourcing Advisor will work alongside other colleagues to ensure that resourcing is provided within agreed timeframes and is accurate. 

You will provide business analysis to support:

  • Operational funding and staffing entitlements.

  • Process improvements

  • Operational policy development

  • Manage appropriations and reporting.

  • Journals and accruals 

The Senior Resourcing Advisor will provide funding advice and support to the wider team and sector as required in addition to supporting internal and external audits.

Salary range: $84,425 - $102,271 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.  The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake 

You will have experience in leading, coaching and mentoring others to achieve outcomes. 

To be successful in the role, you’ll be experienced in analysing and manipulating large and complex data sets. 

You will also offer: 

  • A proven ability to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, to influence and guide organisational and system-level decision making. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience in building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.

  • Adaptability and a demonstrated capacity to operate within a rapidly changing environment.

  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct

About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake 

The System Delivery Group as part of Te Pae Aronui delivers services that enable the education system.  We are responsible for delivering operational funding and staffing entitlements to approximately 2,500 schools. We administer annual payments of approximately $5.8 billion to schools and kura. 

We provide high quality financial advice and support to schools | kura and school boards.  We ensure schools and early childhood centres receive correct resourcing entitlements through our monitoring programme. We provide resourcing operational policy advice and guidance and produce one-off solutions to resourcing issues.
