We are seeking two Kaiwhakaaraara – Whānau Ora Navigators to join our growing team. As a Navigator, you will walk alongside whānau, helping them identify their aspirations, overcome barriers and achieve meaningful outcomes.

We are seeking people who can help whānau:

  • Develop personalised plans to achieve their goals and aspirations

  • Build capability and confidence by providing mentoring and practical support

  • Connect with services and resources they need to thrive

  • Build strong relationships across the hapori

  • Monitor their progress, celebrate successes while maintaining accurate records

 

The ideal people will have:

  • Experience in supporting, coaching and empowering whānau

  • A good understanding of kaupapa Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Whānau Ora

  • Strong relationship-building, communication and networking skills

  • Experience in social services, community development, health, education or a related field

  • The ability to work alongside whānau with complex and evolving needs

  • Knowledge of local services and confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems

  • Good accountability and organisational skills and be a self-motivated, reliable, team player
