We are seeking two Kaiwhakaaraara – Whānau Ora Navigators to join our growing team. As a Navigator, you will walk alongside whānau, helping them identify their aspirations, overcome barriers and achieve meaningful outcomes.
We are seeking people who can help whānau:
Develop personalised plans to achieve their goals and aspirations
Build capability and confidence by providing mentoring and practical support
Connect with services and resources they need to thrive
Build strong relationships across the hapori
Monitor their progress, celebrate successes while maintaining accurate records
The ideal people will have:
Experience in supporting, coaching and empowering whānau
A good understanding of kaupapa Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Whānau Ora
Strong relationship-building, communication and networking skills
Experience in social services, community development, health, education or a related field
The ability to work alongside whānau with complex and evolving needs
Knowledge of local services and confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems
Good accountability and organisational skills and be a self-motivated, reliable, team player
