Inaugural Poumatua Festival brings kapa haka, kōrero and Māori culture to the heart of Auckland

‍ The inaugural three-day cultural festival will be held from Thursday 17 September to Saturday 19 September 2026. Poumatua Festival will bring kapa haka, kōrero, markets and Māori culture into the heart of the city, with events across Auckland Town Hall, Aotea Square and Q Theatre.‍
