We are looking for a Business Analyst (intermediate level) to join our Business Analysis team, working on a wide range of tasks from simple BAU changes to complex solution delivery projects. In this role, you'll go beyond analysing the business - you'll be solving problems, driving meaningful change, and helping deliver real value across the organisation.

This is a fixed-term role for 12-months to cover parental leave and based at our TEC offices in Wellington.

This role has a strong customer focus and works closely with our customers and agile delivery teams. The key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Analyse business problems, identify their root causes and determine potential solutions

  • Contribute to feasibility assessments and business cases

  • Develop and manage high-quality requirements through the delivery process

  • Apply a range of modelling techniques to visualise current and future states

  • Analyse process workflows to identify improvement opportunities

This role would suit someone who has prior experience as a business analyst and enjoys working with data and technically compleity.  We need someone with:

  • At least 1-2 years' experience working as a business analyst in an agile environment.

  • A curious, problem-solving mindset and confidence in navigating ambiguity

  • The ability to develop requirements within agreed timeframes and to a high standard

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders A team-first attitude, always keen to support others and share knowledge

  • A drive for continuous improvement and professional excellence

The salary range for this position starts from $87,997 up to $103,526 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
