We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Security, Infrastructure & Applications Team. This role has a focus on Azure, with experience in IaC and Terraform.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

An ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking to be part of a close-knit team to design, implement and support cloud-based systems and applications. You will provide technical leadership and support of TEC's Enterprise Azure Environment and help facilitate TEC's cloud migration journey, as we transition from legacy on-premises to future Azure cloud services.

  • You will design, implement and support TEC's Enterprise Azure Environment via IaC

  • You will be supporting the Agile processes, including feature development, backlog grooming, PI and sprint planning

  • You will be creating, peer-reviewing and documenting code

  • Work in collaboration with our architects, other technical team members and our customers ensuring we deliver the best possible outcome for the organisation

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who possess great technical skills in the Cloud space, but also has the ability to facilitate conversations with a wide variety of internal and external customers - soft skills are critical to this role. We are also seeking someone who has a genuine desire to mentor, guide, and share knowledge with others in the team. We are looking for someone with experience in the following:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer (minimum 3 years)

  • Solid Azure cloud experience and where relevant with recognised Microsoft certificate/qualification(s) (desirable but not required: Azure fundamentals (AZ900), Azure admin (AZ104) and Devops (AZ400)

  • Experience with IaC - Terraform, Bicep, ARM - (Terraform preferred, incl. Terraform Cloud

  • Knowledge of multiple branching strategies (eg Trunk-Based, GitFlow, GitHub Flow) 

  • Experience in etting up or migration of on-premises to the cloud (Azure)

  • Experience in working in delivering and operating cloud infrastructure in a devops structure

  • Proven track record of working in both agile and waterfall methodologies

  • Experience with measuring, analysing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud performance including cloud system reliability and availability

The salary range for this position is $111,456 to $131,125 + 3% KiwiSaver which is negotiable depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
