He angitūtanga: About the Role

This is a newly established Tier 5 Lead role who will work closely with (and report to) the Team Leader - Data/Development as part of our Data & Digital Development Group. This role will assist with the people management of 5x Data Analysts and ensure they are continuing to work cohesively with our Data Warehouse Developers and the wider group to deliver to their work programme.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead a high performing technical team that provides analytical capabilities with consistent and accurate data.

  • Working with the Team Leader in setting clear objectives with each direct report and ensuring the team have professional development plans in place and receive regular feedback and coaching.

  • Support the Team Leader to deliver on the run and improve deliverables that are driven from the data warehouse.

  • Coordinate the resourcing for internal and external data and information requests.

  • Perform logical and physical data modelling activities.

This role requires someone who is based (or partially) in Wellington.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

This role is responsible for providing technical expertise, people management, mentoring, and embedding good data driven outcomes across the team. The position holder will have:

  • Strong data modelling skills to create/enhance logical/physical data models in the data warehouse.

  • A good technical understanding of SQL and the software development lifecycle.

  • Someone who is data driven and has a modular approach in reports and analytics; strong data analysis skills that support business users in the sector via information products.

  • Proactive people manager who gets the best out of each team member, enjoys mentoring and helping people develop their skills.

  • Experience leading in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

The salary range for this position starts from $111,456 up to $131,125 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience. If your salary expectations are outside of this range, we would still welcome an application from you.
