Project Manager - Tauhokohoko | Hamilton
Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
The Project Manager – Tauhokohoko will provide professional support and planning to the Principal Investigator as part of a MBIE funded programme – Tauhokohoko: Indigenising trade policy and enabling Mana Motuhake through Indigenous trade.
You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining external relationships (stakeholders and subcontractors), budgeting, planning and organising research hui, overseeing post-doctoral researchers and research assistants, travel arrangements, and coordinating MBIE reporting, and associated reports.
This is an administrative role, not a research role, but you must be familiar with research processes and comfortable working with researchers, participants, and partners.
Salary will be in the range of $66,698 to $79,256 per year pro rata based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a fixed term, full time role (37.5 hours a week) from May 2024 to May 2025. This role is based at our Hillcrest Campus in Hamilton.

You will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or substantial work experience, which will be needed to provide exceptional administrative support in a range of tasks including: note taking, report preparation, file management, contract management, and relationship management.
To be successful in this role you will also need:
Knowledge of te reo and tikanga Māori
Clear and confident communication skills
Experience with event management and organisation (hui and conferences)
Experience with budget management and controls
Contract management – ensuring contact deliverables are met, issues raised and resolved, and regular reporting
