Tasks are varied and include:
Handling calls and electronic queries from members
Dealing with distressed people
Providing relevant and clear information to members
Every day is different as members contact their union via the member support centre. You might answer queries about salary, professional concerns, or conflict in the workplace. In this role you will work in a team that uses collegiality and teamwork to get through shared tasks.
In this role you are not just giving advice – you are also connecting members to their union.
The Member Support Centre rosters team members between 8.30-5pm daily to ensure that calls are answered and that everyone gets a break.
