Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
You’ll have extensive knowledge of arts practice trends in ngā toi Māori, as well as experience working within a Māori context. You will be fluent in te reo Māori and be able to demonstrate cultural competency in te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You’ll have excellent communication skills, with an affinity for building and maintaining relationships and you’ll have the willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally to attend sector events as necessary. Demonstrable experience in providing high level strategic advice and recommendations leading to a direct impact on an organisation’s operations and processes is vital, while a qualification in an arts-related discipline, (or equivalent experience), is desirable.

Our team of Practice Advisers are experts in their art form and/or practice, providing strategic advice
on the direction of these arts practices, and independent specialist knowledge of these arts to
support CNZ’s investment and strategic plans. The Practice Advisers are a crucial part of the
development of a sustainable and successful arts ecosystem within Aotearoa.
