Full time, permanent position based in Wellington.
As Senior Analyst, Corporate at the Ministry of Education, you’ll lead initiatives that ensure corporate data is routinely embedded in everyday business decisions. You’ll respond to data requests with clear, concise, and well-presented insights, while actively engaging with customers to align expectations and requirements. Tackling complex data challenges and delivering smart, tech-savvy solutions, all while contributing to a strong culture of precision and peer review.
Your work will drive process improvements and enhance information management across the organisation. Experience with tools such as PowerBI, SAP/SuccessFactors, and SpinifexIT reporting would be a real advantage.
Salary range: $100,296 - $121,490 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mōhou ake
We are looking for someone who’s curious, collaborative, and confident working with data. You’ll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities in a high-paced work environment, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and translating complex data into information that is relevant and consumable.
Experience with corporate data systems and their reporting tools, and PowerBI is essential.
You will also offer:
Experience in a complex organisation
Experience in building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
Experience in leading data collection, data quality and data reporting projects.
Experience prioritising work and managing ongoing expectations within agreed timeframes
The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

The People Analytics and Insights team maximises uptake and application of corporate data and fulfils the Ministry’s statutory Human Resource reporting obligations. We are a small team that works collaboratively to get things done.
