We're looking for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Technology Services team. You'll be a key player in our agile squads—designing, building, and supporting scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure to support our digital products and platforms.

Te tūnga | The role
In this role, you'll lead the implementation of cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices across multiple product teams. Working closely with developers, testers, product owners, and security specialists, you'll build robust CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and ensure high system reliability.
You'll also bring a continuous improvement mindset- identifying opportunities to improve our cloud environments and engineering practices, and mentoring others on cloud and DevOps capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (Azure)
Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with agile squads to support delivery of digital products and services
Automate infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates / Bicep)
Monitor system health and performance; lead incident response and remediation
Promote DevSecOps culture and mentor junior engineers
About You
5+ years' experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure) and cloud-native architectures
Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps and Github Actions)
Strong scripting or coding skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, ARM Templates / Bicep etc.)
Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration using Docker, Azure Container Apps and Kubernetes, with strong infrastructure-as-code skills using Terraform and Helm for managing Kubernetes deployments
Understanding of security, networking, and operational best practices
Bonus: experience in observability tooling or platform engineering
