As a Special Education Adviser, you will play a critical role in our region's Learning Support team by doing the following:

As an Early Intervention Teacher, you will play a critical role in our region’s Learning Support team by: 

Providing high quality learning support in line with the Ministry’s practice framework He Pikorua guiding principles, strands, and goals of Te Whariki: Early Childhood Curriculum, and Te Whariki a te Kohanga Reo.

As Manager, Integrated Services, you will lead a team of experts across education, curriculum, and learning support to deliver a highly responsive, accessible and integrated local support function for schools, kura, kōhanga reo, early learning providers, ākonga, whānau and educators.

Curriculum Advisors are based in the regions and provide frontline support to early learning settings, schools and kura. 

As a Curriculum Advisor, you provide advice to teachers and kaiako on the development of high-quality teaching and learning programmes. 

This is a fixed term, Parental leave cover position. 

You will lead and work with a committed professional team delivering a range of Learning Support services to tamariki and rangatahi. You and your team will work with whānau, communities, early childhood providers/Kōhanga Reo, schools/kura, Kura Kaupapa Māori and other Māori Medium settings to strengthen inclusive practices, raise student achievement and deliver on communities' aspirations.

This is a full-time, permanent, front-line role working directly with schools, whānau and tamariki in Wellington City, but based in Lower Hutt. You will be responsible for building relationships with: boards, school leadership, iwi, whānau, community groups, internal Ministry staff, other government agencies. 

This is a 12-month fixed-term Senior Advisor role in our small Performance and Risk team responsible for the Ministry’s external accountability reporting.
